Would you like to create a more productive and collaborative learning environment? Flipping the training room can help you achieve this objective.

Flipped instruction (also called flipped classroom) is a teaching model that gained favor as teachers and workplace learning performance professionals discovered its many benefits. The concept for flipping the training room is to enable the learner to acquire lecture-based knowledge (Level 1 of Bloom’s Taxonomy) outside of the training room. This enables the instructor to spend more class time working on deeper levels of learning (at higher levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy) where understanding and knowledge application take place. Although this model is not new, technology is making the concept easier to adopt.

Join us for the ASTD-Lincoln Chapter’s annual businessmeeting and kick off the New Year with an informative learning event. You will learn how the flipped training room differs from the traditional training room and will be introduced to some of the tools available to help you successfully flip your training room.

Be sure to BYOD (bring your own device – mobile device with texting or Internet access) if you would like to try a hands-on experience with one of the tools.

In an effort to model the behavior you will be learning, please watch THIS video before coming to our session. The video is less than three minutes in length. The material in the video will be referenced, but not repeated, during our session.
