Research has shown that learners remember 12% of what they are exposed to through training, and yet we spend such pain-staking time developing the content for it. How do we increase that knowledge retention and motivate a long-term personal commitment in our learners to their development? Join fellow members to brainstorm how performance support tools can shrink the learning gap and increase engagement after the formal training ends.

Learning Objective(s):

Attendees will:

  • Describe the roles of stakeholders, TD professionals and learners as it relates to the Transfer of Training and Six Boxes Models.
  • Recall at least three examples of performance support tools.
  • Construct a phased implementation plan to schedule intentional, relevant content.
  • Articulate the connectivity of performance support tools to the next level of training in participants' development to offer a smoother hand-off.
  • Incorporate standard metrics around performance support to illustrate its just-in-time value in processing a large body of information.
