Courageous Conversations

Speaker: Susan Koenig

All of us put off important conversations that we fear are going to be uncomfortable or go badly. If you agonize over the right words to say, worry you’ll upset someone, or are simply unsure how to start the conversation, this presentation is for you. Executive Coach Susan Ann Koenig gives you tools that empower you to say what needs to be said with greater ease.

Bringing her skills as a coach, teacher, and mediator, Susan will show you how to prepare, how to avoid the “I’m right, you’re wrong” experience, and fulfill your intentions for any crucial conversation.  Whether it is giving feedback, asking for what you need, sharing a different opinion, or saying “no,” Coach Koenig promises to leave you with multiple tools in your tool belt for being a more effective communicator.

Attendees can expect to leave this very practical training presentation with the following:

  • 5 points of clarity that must precede every important conversation
  • How practicing one sentence can make the toughest conversations easier
  • Why words are not the most important part of preparing for big conversations
  • How partnering language reduces the “I’m right/You’re wrong” scenarios
  • Powerful tools that can be used in both everyday and high stakes conversations
