Please join us as Allison Hatch with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development shares information on how you can leverage the Intern Nebraska (InternNE) Program to create competitive and engaging internships. Through InternNE, up to $1.5 million is available in each state each fiscal year to support businesses in hiring interns.
In addition, Katie Rhone, Talent Specialist at LI-COR Biosciences, will provide tips on internship best practices and will share how LI-COR’s Career Development Internship Program has helped build a talent pipeline for LI-COR.

About the presenters:
Allison Hatch is a business development consultant with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development’s (DED) Business Development Division. Hatch serves Nebraska’s new and existing businesses through the Business Retention and Expansion program; the business mentoring program, Gallup Entrepreneur Acceleration System; and the development of a statewide internship program, Intern Nebraska (InternNE). Previously, Hatch served as a Research Analyst in the Nebraska Department of Labor’s Office of Labor Market Information. Hatch has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biopsychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Katie Rhone, M.A., is Talent Specialist and Wellness Coordinator with LI-COR Biosciences. Rhone is responsible for the recruitment and selection process, internship program coordination, and corporate wellness at LI-COR. Previously, Rhone served as an Interview Analyst and Consultant for Talent Plus. Rhone has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology/Anthropology from Nebraska Wesleyan and a Master of Arts degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
