Being able to create a Strategic Plan is key in any leadership role.  Strategic planning is a process of defining strategy or direction, and making decisions on allocating resources to pursue this strategy, including capital and people.  Whether you are already a leader or want to become one in the future, it is important to not only understand the components of a strategic plan but how to develop a plan and implement it as well.  In this dinner program, participants will learn how to create a clear and concise strategic plan with methods on the approach for plan development as well as implementation.  The session answers common questions and concerns including:

-          What is the difference between mission and vision?

-          How do you differentiate goals from objectives?

-          How do you ensure the plan addresses the most important issues facing the organization?

-          How do you determine priorities for focus and investment?

-          How do you make sure the plan is actionable?

Along with the planning process, this session also presents the ten common pitfalls that occur in strategic planning and provides participants with techniques for avoiding them.   In this session, participants will learn the Key Components of a Strategic Plan, the Ten Pitfalls to Avoid as well as Putting the Plan into Action
