Morning Session (8:00am - 12:00pm) 

      Facilitator: Ambe White        
           

The workshop will break down the specifics of what an effective facilitator and presenter possess, as well as identify the key techniques and skills that need to be utilized to be effective.
 

Participants will gain more knowledge to become a more effective facilitator and presenter.  Participants will learn the specific techniques and skills utilized by successful facilitators and presenters. Participants will be more confident in facilitating and presenting. Dominate your facilitation and presentation skills.
     

Ambe's professional background includes over 20 years of working in Corporate America, Non-Profits, Human Resource Management and Higher Education.  Diverse experience working in Higher Education (Training, Advising, Career and Employment Counseling, Teaching, Recruitment and Marketing). Diverse experience working in Human Resources (Training and Development, Recruitment, Employee Relations and Consulting). 

Currently serving as the Director of Advising at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa, responsible for the Faculty and Staff Advising Training and Development and Student Advising implementation and initiatives campus wide.  Over 11 years of teaching in Higher Education - Adjunct Instructor at Bellevue University teaching the entire facet of Human Resource Management, Adjunct Instructor at Iowa Western teaching Human Resource Management and Student Development Course, Adjunct Instructor at Metropolitan Community College teach Social Science Courses and Employment and Career Courses. Teaching on-line, in-class undergraduate and graduate. 

Ambe’ has managed to maintain a Consultant Business – A.M.B.E (Able Minded Business Experiences) that has been successful since 1998. In the Consultant Business she has had the opportunity work with over 30 non-profit and for-profit organizations and continue to do so.  Those endeavors include: conducting workshops, training sessions, presenting, facilitating and speaking to diverse students, employees and organizations. Coordinate and lead a College Access Program/Grant for Omaha Public School.

Beyond Smile Sheets: Understanding Training Impact

Afternoon Session (1:00pm - 5:00pm)

This session provides participants with a knowledge of training evaluation principles and techniques. We will identify the reasons for program evaluation and the methods and models used, including Kirkpatrick's levels of evaluation.
 
Upon completion of this session you should be able to:
• Explain why evaluation is important
• Identify and choose outcomes to evaluate a training program
• Discuss the process used to plan and implement a good training evaluation
• Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of different evaluation designs
• Choose the appropriate evaluation design based on the characteristics of the company and the importance and purpose of the training
• Conduct a cost-benefit analysis for a training program
• Explain the role of workforce analytics and dashboards in determining the value of training practices
 
Todd Conkright is passionate about bringing performance and process excellence to organizations, For more than twenty five years he has helped organizations succeed by identifying innovative and impactful learning and development solutions.  
Todd earned a B.S. in HR Management and an M.A. in Organization Development Consulting. He is past board president of the Omaha Organization Development Network. As a Certified Performance Technologist and Six Sigma Black Belt, Todd has expertise in illuminating and eliminating performance barriers, leading to net gains for organizations.
