Presentation Best Practices
Morning and Afternoon Sessions
(8:30am - 4:30pm)
Presentation Best Practices is an interactive learning experience that will teach you the skills and techniques of great presenters. This session will help you rock you next presentation by teaching you the art of BEING the presentation. Work on cadence, stance, gestures and presence to command your next session.

Leann McGrane is a Manager and Talent Development Partner at Markel. She is a tenured learning and development professional with extensive knowledge in curriculum design, delivery, and project management. She is a leader at Markel helping to establish global onboarding, internship programs, technical curriculum, vendor management, and a mentoring program. Leann’s greatest strengths come with her ability to think outside the box and see the big picture while sharing her passion for encouraging others to achieve their highest potential.
Leann is involved outside of Markel as the Co-President of the Westgate Community Club, which helps to support the school in gaining resources, materials and programs for the children. She is also a member of ATD, Society of Insurance Trainers & Educators (SITE). and a past member of the Nebraska Claims Association. Outside of work, Leann is active in outdoor activities and busy spending time with her precocious daughter.
Liz Brumels is a Talent Development Business Partner at Markel. In her role at Markel, she works with her division of 900+ associates to align development to meet business goals and objectives. Liz was instrumental in the global roll out of the company’s Learning Management System and serves as a system administrator.
Her training and development experience started in the non-profit sector where she designed and delivered training for employees and volunteers. Liz brings a wealth of Insurance knowledge and experience to her training design and facilitation. She holds her AINS and Nebraska Property & Casualty license. She is a member of the Society of Insurance Trainers & Educators (SITE). Liz holds a master’s degree in Human Capital Management and is a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP).
