Presenter: Ashlei Spivey

This program will discuss why diversity and inclusion practices are necessary in building a strong company culture and how to embed best practices into company systems like learning and development, coaching, and recruitment structures.

By the end of the program, participants will have:

  • A better understanding on why inclusion practices should be embedded in company culture    
  • Practical action steps to create systems of inclusion 

Meet The Speaker

Ashlei Spivey

Ashlei Spivey was born and raised in the heart of North Omaha. She graduated from North High and went to Jackson State University on a volleyball scholarship for her Bachelor’s degree in Communications. She then attended University of Texas at Arlington for her Master’s program. Ashlei is currently an Associate Program Manager at the Peter Kiewit Foundation.

Prior to taking this new role, she was the Diversity Officer to a local nonprofit. She has a passion for helping her community and challenging injustice. She is the mother of a handsome two-year-old Naasir, and guardian to her sister Yaasmyn.
