By the end of Employee Learning Week, participants will be able to:

  • Gain an understanding of their personal style
  • Consider how their personal style impacts their presentation and communication effectiveness with colleagues and training participants
  • Practice planning to best meet the styles of a variety of people.

Lesa Deeker

Best Care EAP

Lesa Deeker has been working in the field of human resource development, talent management, and training for more than twenty years. She has experience in a variety of talent management and training functions including leadership and management development, training delivery and management, employee surveys, succession planning, and performance management. She has delivered workshops on leadership, career development, change management, coaching, communication, and other topics to participants across the US. Lesa became interested in training and development when she was a producer of corporate video programs, producing programs on diverse subjects such as customer service, telecom equipment installation, and employee recognition. Before relocating to Omaha in 2009, Lesa was Director of Talent and Organizational Development at King Pharmaceuticals, in Bristol, Tennessee, (since acquired by Pfizer). Lesa also worked for more than fifteen years at Sprint in a variety of human resources and training functions in North Carolina, Missouri, and Kansas.

Lesa is currently a Consultant, Coach, and Trainer with Best Care EAP where she provides management consultation, employee and leadership training and development, and performance coaching. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Relations and Economics from the University of North Carolina and has been certified to train a variety of leadership and employee development courses.

As Director of Career Resources, Lesa looks forward to helping ATD Nebraska members through services to improve their resumes and interviewing skills and sharing information on career opportunities in the training and development field via job postings on www.atdnebraska.org.
