eLearning 101: From Goal to Execution
Facilitators: Jen Labrie Pereira and Jen Wichern
E-Learning is fast becoming a staple in developing employees. Whether programs are blended, flipped, or solely online, 77% of US companies offered online corporate training to their employees in 2015, and this number is expected to increase 13% per year through 2017. That means knowing when to include eLearning in your talent development programs, as well as the ability to create, implement, and track learner behaviors from the finished product are essential for today’s Talent Development Professional.
In this 1-day, hands-on workshop, attendees will be given a typical development request in which they will uncover the expected outcomes of the program, and use eLearning design and implementation best practices to create a short eLearning product.
By the end of the session, attendees will be able to:
-
Recognize when eLearning is a viable option for a training event
-
Identify the elements, tools, and resources needed to create an eLearning program
-
Construct an action map to identify the information needed, activities required, and behaviors exhibited by the learner to achieve business goals
-
Produce an eLearning storyboard
-
Create a short eLearning program
-
Design after training follow-up strategies to ensure learning retention
